Sidemount diving is a growing trend in scuba diving, and applies to both recreational and technical diving. Put simply, it’s just a different way of configuring and carrying your tanks and breathing gases.
Sidemount diving allows you to carry 2 (or more) tanks, without placing additional strain on your back, as with doubles.
